1. About these terms
These Terms apply when you access the Placeback website, create an account, purchase a membership or use the Placeback browser extension. Placeback is an Australian sole-trader business identified by ABN 67 814 366 744. By creating an account, you agree to these Terms and acknowledge the Privacy Policy.
2. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old and legally permitted to use wagering-related analytical tools where you live. You are responsible for complying with the laws, account rules and promotion terms that apply to you.
3. What Placeback does
Placeback is an analysis and record-keeping tool. It reads information displayed in TAB and Betfair pages that you open, combines that information with settings you provide, and returns calculations relating to promotion value, lay requirements, liquidity and account funding. Placeback does not place, submit, queue or guarantee a wager.
Placeback is independent of TAB and Betfair. It does not receive commissions or affiliate payments from bookmakers or exchanges.
4. No guarantee of accuracy or profit
Market information can move, disappear, be delayed or be read incorrectly after a third-party website changes. Calculations depend on the information and settings supplied to them. Partial matches, deductions, scratches, dead heats, exchange commission and promotion eligibility can change an actual result. You must independently verify every price, stake, liability, market, promotion condition and matched amount before acting.
Placeback does not provide financial, legal, tax or gambling advice and does not guarantee profit, availability or suitability for any particular purpose.
5. Accounts and devices
You must provide accurate account information, protect your password and sign in only on extension installations you trust. Membership access is personal and must not be sold, shared or used to provide an unauthorised service to another person. Tell us promptly if you believe an account or approved device has been compromised.
6. Membership and payment
The price, billing interval and applicable taxes are shown before you confirm Stripe Checkout. Membership renews automatically until cancelled. Payments are processed by Stripe; Placeback does not receive your complete card number. Cancellation, failed-payment and refund arrangements are explained in the Billing and Cancellation Policy.
7. Licence and acceptable use
While your membership is active, Placeback grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive and non-transferable right to use the supplied extension and website. You must not share the customer package, bypass membership or device controls, probe or disrupt the service, misuse another person's account, or reproduce, resell or commercially exploit Placeback. You must not reverse engineer protected parts of the service except to the extent a law gives you a right that cannot be excluded.
8. Third-party services
Placeback depends on services operated by others, including TAB, Betfair, Stripe, Resend and hosting providers. Their services and terms are separate from ours. You are responsible for your bookmaker and exchange accounts. Placeback may stop working temporarily or permanently with a third-party page or feature if that service changes or restricts access.
9. Intellectual property
Placeback's software, design, documentation, calculations, branding and other original material remain the property of their respective owner. These Terms do not transfer ownership to you. TAB, Betfair and other third-party names and material remain the property of their respective owners.
10. Suspension and termination
We may restrict or end access where reasonably necessary to protect the service, comply with law, address non-payment, investigate misuse or enforce these Terms. You may stop using Placeback and cancel renewal at any time. Provisions concerning accrued payments, intellectual property, liability and disputes continue where their nature requires it.
11. Consumer rights and liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts or modifies a guarantee, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded, including rights under the Australian Consumer Law. To the extent permitted by law, Placeback is not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, wagering losses, lost opportunities or loss caused by third-party information, outages or account action. Where liability can lawfully be limited, it is limited to supplying the affected service again or the cost of doing so.
12. Changes and contact
We may update these Terms to reflect changes to the service, law or business. Material changes will be communicated reasonably before they take effect where practicable. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance where permitted by law. Questions may be sent to support@placeback.com.au.
